  • On April 15th, President Obama signed into law the Continuing Extension Act of 2010.
  • This bill extends eligibility for additional tiers of unemployment benefits through June 2, 2010.

Additional Weeks

  • There are currently up to 99 weeks of unemployment benefits available, depending on the unemployment rate in your state and when you began receiving benefits.
    • Regular unemployment: 26 weeks
    • Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC): up to 33 weeks
    • Extended Benefits (EB): up to 20 weeks
    • Additional EUC: up to 20 weeks
